What Color is Your Piggy Bank?
Tonight we began our 3 part series on Financial Literacy for Kids. So far, we have been getting some great responses on our story featuring the kids from McNamara elementary in Baldwinsville. We had a great time talking with the kids. And they actually surprised us more than once with their level of knowledge about some pretty complex money issues like stocks, bonds and CD’s. That reflects well on the parents out on Baldwinsville! Well done Moms & Dads!
What are you thoughts on talking to kids about money? Share your expereinces here and we may share them on the show.
And be sure to join us next week when we profile the students at East Syracuse Minoa HS. They are part of an nationally recognized and praised program that has student running a real live branch of Core Federal Credit Union right inside their school.

I am reminded of 2000 when the market had big swings…. It seems like the same things going on today. Amazing how the media’s power almost munipulates the markets. There seems to be no real reason for the swings. Perhaps I’m wrong. But, I really don’t know whats really happening here in this market. The more I watch the program-now don’t get me wrong I love Financial Fitness the more I feel, WHAT AM I TO DO. Yes, I am sitting tight, although is it the right thing to do???
Currently in a process of finding a financial advisor and this is worse I think than figuring out the market. The more I visit companies the more I’m unsure of who to settle in with. Trying to keep some clarity in my & my wifes financial world. Liz I loved the meeting that you had with the kids in Baldwinsville.
