On this episode of The Capitol Pressroom Dr. Chris Xaver is sitting in for Susan Arbetter. Dr. X is joined by David Rubin, the former dean of the Syracuse Newhouse School of Public Communication and some of his friends from his WCNY show “The Ivory Tower Halfhour.” This panelist of professors with doctorates in political science and journalism will be debating the role of journalists and how they are the public’s eyes. They discuss how journalists make sure that the public’s money isn’t misspent, and that the politicians are accountable to the people who elect them.
