Sounds of Jazz for Sunday, January 15th
Hi, everybody…nice to see ya, and I hope that 2012 is treating you well! We have a little catching up to do with you, so I’ve told Marie Lamb to get the word out about Sunday’s “Sounds of Jazz”. We’ll be on the air, and also online at http://www.wcny.org/radio/listen-now/classicfm This Sunday at 5 P.M., we’ll bring you music from someone who has become a favorite of many jazz fans in recent years. He’s the multi-talented multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and bandleader Vince Giordano, who has brought jazz sounds of the pre-Swing Era to a whole new audience, both through his own recordings with his Nighthawks band and in soundtracks for films by Woody Allen and others!
Also, we’ll have Part II of our visit with Bing Crosby and the Firehouse Five!
