Here’s the heads-up on the next Lebrecht Interview, which will be on BBC 3 Radio and also available on streaming audio on Monday, 15 August at 10:15 P.M. London time, which is 5 P.M. Eastern Daylight time. Norman Lebrecht talks with conductor Valery Gergiev in what Gergiev describes as “the longest interview I have given in ten years.” Norman has more about it on the Slipped Disc blog (where he explains about the “clean” reference), and you can listen here. After the initial airing of the interview, it will be available as streaming audio for a week (may not be accessible in all countries), and it will also be up as a podcast. For those who haven’t heard other Lebrecht Interviews, all the ones from last Proms season and the ones from this summer can be downloaded as mp3s here. Enjoy!
