Chairman of the Senate Energy Committee George Maziarz is no fan of a transmission line to bring Canadian hydropower to New York City.  To stop it, and stop “putting tens of thousands of existing jobs in mortal danger” the Senator is advancing legislation to deny the project eminent domain status.  We’ll speak with him about it. 

On the other side:   Don Jessome, President and CEO of TRI (Transmission Developers) says the project will create jobs and save money.  We’ll hear his argument as well.

Frank Mauro of the Fiscal Policy Institute joins us with analysis of school budget votes.

And always thoughtful & thought-provoking former Assemblyman Michael Benjamin weighs in.
