Double Down Launches its 7th Season

It’s time for viewers at home to match wits with our talented high school teams as they compete in the new season of Double Down. The excitement begins on Sunday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. with host Bill Baker posing the questions to teams eager to begin the road to winning the Blue Rock Energy Double Down championship trophy.

This season’s First Round features a new twist. Teams will still compete against one another in head-to-head competition, but with the goal of scoring as many points as possible. The 16 teams with the highest First Round game scores will advance to the Second Round of Double Down. So, for example, a team losing to their opponent in their First Round Double Down match, may still advance to Round Two if its score falls into the top 16 best. It means added suspense and strategy for the 34 teams, including return champions, Pulaski High School, competing in Double Down this season.

So get the popcorn ready for Double Down, airing two matches per week on Sunday nights, beginning November 6 at 6:00 p.m. on WCNY 24.1.
