Change in tonight’s NY Philharmonic program, 9/15/11

Please note that tonight’s New York Philharmonic broadcast has been changed! Program director Peter McElvein has the word that this week’s show will have Sunday night’s performance of  Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, the “Resurrection” Symphony, which was seen live on WCNY-TV on 9/11. WCNY-FM will have it during our regular NY Philharmonic broadcast at 8 P.M. this evening (Thursday). Alan Gilbert will conduct, with soloists Dorothea Röschmann and Michelle DeYoung, plus the New York Choral Artists. If you’re outside Central New York and can’t hear this over the air, we invite you to listen online at http://www.wcny.org/radio/listen-now/classicfm  Also, PBS has the video version of the concert available online at http://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/episodes/a-concert-for-new-york/watch-the-fully-edited-broadcast-program-with-tom-brokaw/1182/
