Arts Talk: Edward Christiana
This week, our guest is Kim Domenico, the daughter of noted Upstate New York artist and art educator Edward Christiana, who had a distinguished career as a painter and as a teacher at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute. He was well-known for his depictions of Upstate New York, especially the Mohawk Valley and the Adirondacks, and for his depictions of scenes from Maine. The Utica Public Library is hosting an exhibition of Christiana’s artworks to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth, and many pieces are available for purchase. The show runs through June 26th.
